The Founder, Steve Chambers, previously built the largest real estate company in Alabama with over 12 offices and over 500 agents, before selling it and forming a smaller boutique agency of highly trained and skilled professionals.  Steve has been a Training and Marketing Consultant with over 40 years of experience. He was invited to join the “Masterminds,” an exclusive group of the top 20 Real Estate Brokers in America. Steve is service-motivated and is very dedicated to his clients, customers, and his community. The Better Homes Team has the same dedication to service, with honesty and integrity as its bedrock mission statement to customers and clients. Steve has personally served on numerous Boards and Committees. He was elected to serve on the County Commission, the City Council, and was a candidate for Lieutenant Governor. Has been recognized and honored in various “Who’s Who in Real Estate,” and other organizations including the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, Co-Founder of the Optimist Club of Shelby County, and the “Committee of 100,” a Service Organization of leading Corporate Executives. He is even the author of ‘60 Ways to Finance a Home.’ 

Steve is a veteran and is honored to have served our country in the 4th Battalion, 14th Marines Regiment, 4th Marine Division. Most importantly, he is a dedicated family man. He is married to a wonderful wife and is a proud father of two amazing children. He is one of our nation’s top real estate brokers, an entrepreneur, and a mentor who is passionate about cultivating lasting relationships with his clients.
